Children are our greatest resource. That’s why we must have a congressman who is committed to education. I believe in giving more control of local schools back to parents, educators and local school officials. I also believe that Congress cannot lessen its commitment to education. Let’s give our children access to the best education possible.
Congress should never turn its back on the very people who worked long and hard to help make America the great country it is today. I will fight to ensure that Congress keeps its commitment to older Americans by strengthening and protecting Social Security and Medicare.
As a businessman, I understand fully that you can’t spend more than you take in and hope to stay in business very long. Families deal with that same reality every month when they sit down with the bills and try to make ends meet. The Federal government should be no different. I am committed to strict fiscal responsibility, living within in our means and paying down the national debt.
America is only as strong as its national defense. Congress must give its full support to maintaining our combat readiness, including the preservation of local military installations like the ones here in the 7th district and important projects like the ones currently underway in Marietta.
As urban sprawl and growth threaten the quality of life, we must act now to protect our communities. We must protect our air and water, and take sensible steps to preserve green space. And, we need a congressman who will work with local law enforcement officials and community leaders to keep our communities safe from drugs and crime.

I am running for Congress because I believe it is time to put an end to petty partisan politics and start working together to solve the real problems which affect people everyday. We have got to make our schools safe and put discipline, accountability and higher standards back in the classroom. We have got to save Social Security now, or we face the real possibility that it will not be there for our children and grandchildren. And, we have to make sure that doctors and patients are making medical decisions, not insurance company bureaucrats. We can no longer afford a congressman who puts his own personal politics first. It is time for a congressman who will put the people of Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District first. This is why I am running for congress.
